A wider field, but with the same magnification as the mono image

Date:27th February 2009  10:27ut
Telescope:Solarsmax telescope 60DS with straight BF
Camera:Lumenera 075M

Here we see a much wider shot of the same area, achieved by assembling overlapping images of the same magnification as the previous shot. This is very similar to a view at the eyepiece of a good Hydrogen alpha scope, on about 80x mag
Mono Image of AR11013
Date:27th February 2009 10:19ut
Telescope:Solarsmax telescope 60DS with straight BF
Camera:Lumenera 075M
This Image was taken with a 4x powermate in the 2 inch fit straight blocking filter unit. Seeing was very good . The Active Region is heading toward the solar western limb.
Remnants of Active Region 11012
Date:20th February 2009 12:33ut
Telescope:Solarsmax telescope 60DS with straight BF, and 4x powermate
Camera:Lumenera 075M
This monochrome shot shows the remains of AR11012 and two small filaments. Seeing was exellent.
Filaments on the South Western limb
Date:20th February 2009 11:54ut
Telescope:Solarsmax telescope 60DS with straight BF, and 4x powermate
Camera:Lumenera 075M
This shot taken in good seeing, shows the solar surface in good Hydrogen alpha detail as well as a couple of nice filaments. Prominence activity was very low.
North Eastern Limbscape
Date:20th February 2009 11:40ut
Telescope:Solarsmax telescope 60DS with straight BF, and using a 4x powermate
Camera:Lumenera 075M
Although the sun is currently pretty quiet this wide shot of the limb does, I think demonstrate its potential power. Click to enlarge
Small prominences near the Sun's South polar region
Date:14th February 2009 10:50ut
Telescope:Solarsmax telescope 60DS with straight BF and 4x powermate
Camera:Lumenera 075M
Here are two small prominences near the Sun's south polar region. Once again there is a filament "just in" from the Sun's limb.
Small prominences near the Sun's north polar region
Date:14th February 2009
Telescope:Solarsmax telescope 60DS with straight BF
Camera:Lumenera 075M
A delicate prominence, imaged with a 4x powermate in the above telscope. Also shown in the foreground, as a dark patch, is a surface filament. This would have appeared as a prominence, had it been positioned on the limb of the sun.
Active Region 11012
Date:14th February 2009 10:38ut
Telescope:Solarsmax telescope 60DS with straight BF
Camera:Lumenera 075M
This closer shot was taken with a 4x powermate in the telescope. The filament is remarkably similar to the Elephant Nebula's title feature.
Active Region AR11012
Date:14th February 2009 10:26ut
Telescope:Solarsmax telescope 60DS with straight BF
Camera:Lumenera 075M
Here we see wide field shot of the Active Region taken with a 2.5x powermate and straight through Blocking filter(with adaptor) fitted into the 60mm SolarMax Telescope.
