Large Spike Prominence Date: 27th October 2010 Telescope: AP 130 f8 plus Coronado 90mm and Daystar ATM .65A Camera: Flea3 1/4inch This one of my favorite prominence shots. the solar disc has been set to negative and then "colourised" by removing most of the green and blue channels

Sunspot 11109 in White light Date: 2nd October 2010 11:00ut Telescope: AP 130 f8 plus Intes wedge Camera: Flea3 1/4inch This is the same sunspot as imaged below in H alpha note just how different they appear. The penumbra appears misty in Ha and climbs upwards into the higher Ha plasma "clouds". Whereas in white light it appears to rise lightly around the umbra then "flatten" down into the chromosphere.
