Here we see Saturn imaged in good seeing, showing the globe on ring shadow increasing as Saurn gets further from opposition.
The ring on globe shadow has gone now.

We were very lucky to have clear skies for this years occultation of Saturn. Note how Saturn slides rapidly along the edge of the moon.
